The Story Behind
The Bucketwish
This didn’t start as a business plan. Honestly, it started because I wanted to learn how to swim.
For a long time, I had a real fear of the water. It was the one thing I kept working around, the challenge I put off for "later." But eventually, I realized that avoiding it was taking up more energy than facing it. So, I decided to get back in the pool.
It wasn’t easy, but it was transformative.
When I finally took that swim, something shifted. It wasn’t just about the water; it was about proving to myself that I could step past my hesitation. And once I did that? The floodgates opened. I realized I didn't have to wait to do the other things I loved.
I started dancing. I started singing. I tried comedy. I picked up my flute again.
I realized that by saying "yes" to the swim, I was actually saying "yes" to the rest of my life.
WHY I CREATED THE BUCKETWISH
I’m a filmmaker, so naturally, I documented the journey. As I watched it unfold, I realized something important:
We are all so good at the "have-to's." We are great at our jobs, our families, and our responsibilities. But somewhere along the way, we often lose touch with the "want-to's."
I created The Bucketwish because I realized I wasn't the only one. I wanted to build a space where we could take those personal dreams seriously—not with pressure or hustle, but with excitement and support.
What I Believe
I’ve learned that those little nudges you feel—the desire to paint, or travel, or learn a language—aren't random. They are clues. They are pointing you toward what lights you up.
The Bucketwish isn't about adding more to your to-do list. It’s about clearing space for the things that make you feel like you again.
My Invitation to You
I don’t believe in pushing people. I believe in supporting them. That is why The Bucketwish is built on community and clarity, not willpower. It’s a place to figure out what you really want, and then have a group of people cheering you on as you make it happen.
If you have ever felt like you’re doing everything right but still missing a piece of the puzzle, you are in the right place.
I am so glad you’re here. Let’s see what’s on your list.
